A piece that captures the way time silently leaves its mark on our faces, and the idea that we may never truly know which event shaped each imprint. The experiences we go through transform us, yet often we cannot draw a clear line between cause and effect.
The creative process was spontaneous and unrestrained, perfectly aligning with the work's central concept. There was no rigid planning—only complete surrender to fluidity, just as life leaves its traces without asking permission. The artwork took on an organic essence, almost as if it had emerged on the canvas by itself, without my conscious intervention.
Life’s imprints are subtle and cumulative, which is why layers overlap; certain areas appear more deeply marked by the passage of time. Textures and colors were intentionally used to convey a sense of erosion, a contained history, and quiet resistance against the passage of time.
Another key aspect is highlighting what often goes unnoticed. I invite the viewer to look more closely at the details that often go unnoticed. By leaving the face incomplete, I challenge the observer to recognize their own story reflected within the piece.
